School communicators are “Jimmy Johns” quick!
The other morning I was listening to ESPN’s “Mike & Mike” show. They were talking about some trade rumors circulating out there on Twitter over night and they were lamenting the fact with all of the constant buzz on social media, including posts by the players themselves, it was impossible to keep up all of the tweets and posts, let alone even attempt to validate the accuracy of it all. “What a shift,” said one of the Mikes. “The speed of reporting is now more important than its accuracy.” Welcome to our world, boys!
